Power of Attorney work is £250 for each document. There is an additional registration charge of £82 required by the Office of The Public Guardian.
Can an Executor also be a beneficiary?
Yes, it's perfectly legal to make the executor of your will a beneficiary. Relatives and family friends can make good executors, but legal professionals have the time and expertise to settle an estate quickly and smoothly.
Can children under the age of 18 inherit?
Children cannot inherit money, property or assets until they reach the age of 18. When a child is under this age, the funds will be held in Trust by the Executors/Trustees named in the Will.
What happens if I do not make a Will?
You will be classed as Intestate and Intestacy rules will apply. Many people erroneously think that their Estate will go to their partner when they die. This is not necessarily the case. For example, an unmarried partner will be entitled to nothing. Even a spouse may not receive the entire Estate.
